Bridging Global Pathways: BUC Hosts Study Abroad Agent Meet & Greet with Swinburne TNE Director

Barzan University College (BUC), in collaboration with Swinburne University of Technology, hosted an exclusive Meet & Greet event at the Marriott Marquis City Center Doha, welcoming senior study abroad consultants from across Doha and the region. The event marked the first official engagement in Qatar by Swinburne’s Director of Transnational Education Partnerships, Ms. Neema Cucinotta, following the landmark partnership between Swinburne and BUC.

Bringing together some of the most established and influential education consultants in Qatar and the wider GCC region, the event served as a vibrant platform to explore the evolving dynamics of international student mobility, particularly in relation to Australian higher education. With Qatar’s strategic emphasis on educational excellence through Qatar National Vision 2030, the discussions were timely and forward-looking.

Ms. Neema Cucinotta delivered an insightful presentation on Swinburne’s global vision, academic strengths, and its student-centered approach to international education. This was followed by another presentstion from Mr. Ashfaq Ahamed, Head of Marketing and Student Recruitment at BUC, who outlined BUC’s mission to become a gateway for students in Qatar to access globally ranked Australian qualifications, starting with the Foundation, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate programs offered through the Swinburne partnership.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, allowing consultants to gain clarity on program structures, transfer pathways, scholarships, and student support services. This was followed by a dynamic networking session, where ideas were exchanged, partnerships explored, and future collaboration pathways identified.

As BUC prepares for its inaugural student intake in September 2025, the college continues to build strong engagement across stakeholders from students and parents to agents and industry, ensuring its offerings are aligned with local needs and global benchmarks.
