Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani is a member of the Ruling family in Qatar, and he has served as the Prime Minister of Qatar from 2013 to 2020. Before assuming duties as Prime Minister, he has served as a Minister of Interior Affairs in the Qatari Government from 2005 to 2013.
He has held numerous leadership positions in other areas of government as well prior to his position as a Prime Minister. He has also held the position of Chairman of Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy.
Dr. Hassan Al-Derham is Qatar University’s sixth president and is recognized for playing a major role in advancing research activity at both university and national levels. He was previously Vice-President for Research from 2007, during which he guided Qatar University to its current position as leader of research excellence in the GCC region.
During his tenure, Qatar University has won the largest percentage of grants in the National Priorities Research Program (NPRP) and Undergraduate Research Experience Program (UREP) under the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF).
He also served in several earlier roles at Qatar University, including Associate VP for Research and Head of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering.
He holds a PhD and Post-Graduate Diploma in Construction Project Management from University of Glamorgan (currently University of South Wales), UK, and obtained his master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech, USA. His undergraduate is in Architectural Engineering from North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University, USA.

EduGate Intl offers specialized services in TNE (Transnational Education) partnerships, supporting foreign universities with market entry, regulatory approvals, and campus setup, consulting for new HEI ventures, and campus management services including academic quality assurance, branding, and operational oversight for international programs delivered locally.

Abdur Rahman has established a distinguished track record of building strategic collaborations and TNE partnerships with leading universities and awarding bodies from the UK, Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia. His leadership has been instrumental in delivering globally recognised academic programs that are closely aligned with evolving industry needs, empowering thousands of students to achieve both academic and professional success. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of higher education, Eng. Abdur Rahman has received multiple international accolades. Notably, he has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by QSi-UK for his services to quantity surveying and construction management.
