Australian Computer Society (ACS)

In Australia, the Australian Computer Society (ACS) is the authorised accreditation body for ICT‑related higher education programs. ACS accreditation involves a rigorous evaluation of university‑level courses to ensure that graduates meet internationally benchmarked standards for professional practice in the ICT sector. You can find out more about this on the ACS website.

At present, the Swinburne Bachelor of Computer Science and Master of Cybersecurity programs delivered in Australia are accredited by ACS.   As a newly established educational institution, Barzan University College (BUC) does not yet have a graduating student cohort eligible for ACS accreditation assessment.

Accreditation for the Bachelor of Computer Science and Master of Cybersecurity at BUC will be pursued as soon as it is feasible to do so within the accreditation timelines and requirements set by ACS.
